Dr. ROSLYN MIGDALE attended internationally known Palmer College of Chiropractic West. Palmer College was founded by the discoverer of chiropractic, D.D. Palmer, in 1897. While at Palmer, Dr. Migdale was on the Chiropractic Sports Council and worked with world-class athletes at the Iron Man Triathlon in Kona, Hawaii, becoming certified in Active Release Techniques (A.R.T). Dr. Migdale also received certification in Graston Technique of nonsurgical scar tissue removal. She is one of two doctors on the Peninsula who has a high certification in this truly cutting-edge discipline.

Dr. Migdale was born in South Pasadena and moved to the Monterey Peninsula as a young child. She attended Carmel River School, Carmel Middle School, and studied in New Zealand for a year before returning to attend Carmel High School.

She graduated from the Monterey Institute of Touch becoming a Certified Massage Therapist, where she studied craniosacral, myofascial release, sports massage, and lymphatic drainage, among many other techniques.

Throughout her seven-year stay at Esalen Institute, Dr. Migdale served as a member of the Esalen massage crew, where she continues to serve as a visiting practitioner there today. While managing a five-acre organic produce farm at Esalen, she became a licensed preschool teacher from Sonoma State University, and taught at Esalen’s Gazebo Pre-School and Kindergarten for two years.

After receiving a chiropractic adjustment from a chiropractor who was also a massage therapist, Dr. Migdale decided that the unique combination of massage with chiropractic was what she wanted to do as a lifetime profession. She had seen first hand the benefits that people of all ages experienced when they were treated by a health-care professional who was committed to the physical and emotional well-being of the whole person.

After living and traveling in New Zealand, Finland, Russia, Poland, Israel, Egypt, the Bahamas, and Mexico, Dr. Migdale returned to her native roots on the Peninsula where she has opened her practice in Ryan Ranch.
